I believe resilience isn’t about bracing for disaster. It’s about building a business that can navigate change.
A business that has clarity on where it stands, what could lie ahead, and how to respond with intention, not urgency.
This is where I come in.

Large companies have long used structured tools to manage risk, sustainability, and uncertainty. I adapt those same tools so they actually work for small businesses.
Why I do this
It started in the summer of 2018, when I came across the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), a framework that helps companies understand and manage their impact.
What caught my attention wasn’t the reporting.
It was the structure.
A clear, practical way to understand:
where a business stands
what matters most
how to make better decisions over time
As I explored other frameworks, I saw the same pattern: tools designed to help businesses anticipate risk, strengthen operations, and turn uncertainty into advantage.
But there was a problem.
These tools were being used almost exclusively by large companies, not because small businesses don’t need them, but because they’re often presented as too complex, too technical, or too far out of reach.
I didn’t believe that had to be the case.
That belief led me to get certified in several internationally recognized frameworks and to focus my work on adapting them for small businesses, simplifying them, right-sizing them, and turning them into tools you can actually use.
Today, my goal is to make sustainability and resilience actionable, so you can better understand your business, strengthen it, and feel more prepared for whatever comes next.
How I Work
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions or long reports that sit on a shelf.
Instead, I take the time to understand:
where your business stands
what truly matters right now
where focused effort will make the biggest difference
From there, we translate complexity into practical, right-sized tools across operations, people, and impact.
Whether you’re laying a basic foundation or ready to go deeper, the goal is the same - to help your business feel steadier, more intentional, and less reactive.
Standards and Frameworks I work with:
Global Reporting Initiative
Sustainability Accounting Standards Board
Greenhouse Gas Protocol
Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures
My Values
I start by listening, so I can understand your business, your priorities, and what truly matters right now. That allows me to offer a personalized approach focused on practical, positive outcomes.
I believe trust is built through authenticity, confidentiality, and follow-through. I work selectively, committing only to projects where I know my work can have a meaningful impact.
My Story
I was born and raised in communist Romania, in a system where having a voice wasn’t encouraged, and often wasn’t allowed. Over time, silence became part of who I was.
It took more than two decades after communism fell to fully remember that I do have a voice, and to begin using it. Even today, I sometimes translate what I hear into Romanian, form a response there, and translate it back into English before speaking. English is my third language, and with a childhood speech impediment, it shaped a long habit of holding back, and a longer journey toward using my voice.
In the early 2000s, my husband and I immigrated to the United States with four suitcases and $2,000. We worked hard to build a life from scratch.
I left behind an established career in Romania and rebuilt professionally in the U.S., eventually spending many years in a stable corporate role.
Later, as our children grew more independent, I made the difficult decision to step away from that security, seeking flexibility, meaningful work, and the ability to be present for my mother, who has faced mental health challenges for much of my life.
Today, I’m building my third career, and the most intentional one yet.
As my children prepare to leave the nest, this chapter feels aligned in a new way. I’m choosing work that reflects my values, my lived experience, and my belief that businesses, like people, can be built with care, resilience, and purpose.
That journey is why I approach my work with an open mind, determination, and a strong focus on using time, resources, and effort wisely.
Hi! I’m Anca
Outside of work, I’m the mother of two teenagers and a small dog named Max, a wife, the unofficial COO of our household, the designated grocery shopper, and the occasional “bad cop.” I’m also a devoted plant lover.
I love learning, even if riding a bike remains an unsolved problem. You’ll usually find me solving puzzles, reading, or heading out for a hike.
